Solid Waste Management

Under this Scheme the Directorate is taking up Environmental Research and Development activities and awareness generation on Solid Waste Management for better environment as well as future sustainability. The assessment results of these schemes are being used as inputs for preparation of Solid Wastes Management action Plan in Imphal city and other major towns. The Directorate is planning to maintain a baseline database on waste generated in all district Headquarters /major towns of the state.
